Poernima Dance Company is looking for dancers for the trailer of our upcoming production

Would you like to join the filming of our brand-new trailer?
On 28 September 2025, we’ll be shooting in The Hague for our next production, which premieres in January 2026.
We’re looking for:
- Non-professional Bharatanatyam dancers
- At least 2 years of Adavus practice
- 16 years or older
If this sounds like you, please fill in the application form*.
After applying, you’ll receive a short instructional video, recorded by Poernima Gobardhan, to help you prepare. As a thank-you for your time and effort, you’ll receive a short of you dancing.
Practical details
- Meeting point: Laaktheater, Ferrandweg 4-T, 2523 XT The Hague
- Shoot location: Outside near the theatre
- Date & Time: Sunday 28 September 2025, between 15:00 and 19:00 (exact call time to follow)
- Fee: Voluntary basis
- Costume: we’ll provide a dance saree
- Dance: with the instruction video we’ll all be able to do a group choreography.

We zoeken:
- Niet-professionele Bharatanatyam-dansers

Na je aanmelding ontvang je een korte instructievideo, opgenomen door choreograaf Poernima Gobardhan, om je voor te bereiden. Als dank voor je tijd en inzet krijg je een korte video-opname van jouw dans.

- Opnamelocatie: Buiten, nabij het theater
- Datum & tijd: Zondag 28 september 2025, tussen 15:00 en 19:00 uur (exacte oproeptijd volgt)
- Vergoeding: Op vrijwillige basis
- Kostuum: Wij zorgen voor een dans-sari
- Dans: Met de instructievideo leren we samen groepschoreografie.
